Lennox aim for Brave Hugo Palmer has set his sights on the Qatar Lennox Stakes at Glorious Goodwood for Home Of The Brave. The plan was for Godolphin's relatively new acquisition to be supplemented for the July Cup but the four-year-old suffered a minor setback. His options now are the seven-furlong Lennox or step back up to a mile for the Qatar Sussex Stakes. "He was going to be supplemented for the July Cup but he had a tiny nick on the outside of a hind joint," Palmer told At The Races. "We did everything we should have done, he was covered with antibiotics but an infection got in over the antibiotics which wasn't resistant to them so we had to change the antibiotics. "Antibiotics can slightly flatten a horse occasionally and his work wasn't brilliant on Friday, it was perfectly OK, so I rang John (Ferguson, Godolphin chief executive) and I said it would be a bold move on the back of this to rush him into a July Cup for the sake of it. "He'll probably go to Goodwood, he's in the Sussex but he's favourite for the Lennox and that would be my preferred route."
