Leopardstown soft after overnight rain

The ground at Leopardstown has changed to soft all over after 8mm of rain overnight at the Dublin track.

The going yesterday was yielding on the chase course while it was yielding, soft in places on the hurdle track.

The weather forecast remains unsettled ahead of the Christmas festival meeting which kicks off on St Stephen's Day.

Limerick, the other traditional Christmas venue, had 5mm of rain overnight and the track there remains soft, soft to heavy in places.

Down Royal also race on St Stephen's Day and the ground up north has eased to soft, yielding to soft in places.
