Leopardstown target for Cordovan The Coolmore I.N.H. Flat Race at Leopardstown is the likely next port of call for Cordovan Brown following her fine effort in defeat at Navan last weekend. Having made an impressive racecourse debut at Punchestown last month, Liz Doyle's four-year-old stepped up to Listed class on her second start and was only beaten three-quarters of a length by smart older mare Crackerdancer. Doyle believes there is more to come from Cordovan Brown and is eyeing the 75,000 pound Grade Two mares' bumper on the second day of the inaugural Dublin Racing Festival (February 4). "She ran very well on Sunday and took a step forward from her Punchestown win. She is only four and is still learning her job," said the Kitestown-based trainer. "She has come out of the race really well. We will probably aim her now at the Grade Two mares' bumper at Leopardstown in the first week of February. "I don't think she'll run between now and then, and she is entitled to take her chance in that. "She is only a baby still, but is a big girl and we will freshen her up for Leopardstown."
