A winner at Down Royal on St Patrick's Day and back to form when second at Roscommon last month, Let Him B was a facile winner of Cork's Kendellen Construction Handicap Hurdle over two miles, three furlongs.

Bred, owned and trained by Charles Byrnes, the 11/8 favourite (from 2/1 on the show) went after the front-running Stily after turning for home and led three out before coming clear under Philip Byrnes to beat Teagarden Jazz by 13 lengths.

"He jumped much better today, and the better ground and flat track suited better, said the winning trainer.

“He was a hard watch the last day as his jumping wasn't good, and he was never in a good rhythm.

"He is going the right way and will jump a fence in time. We'll keep going over hurdles for now, but he wouldn't want the ground to be much worse."
