Trainer Willie Mullins recorded a double as newcomer Liadawn easily justified favouritism to win the concluding Irish Stallion Farms EBF Mares (Pro/Am) INH Flat Race at Downpatrick.

A half-sister to a black type mare, her dam had also made a winning racecourse debut when successful on her first start at Gowran Park.

Sent off 1/2f under Patrick Mullins, the five-year-old grey chased leader Walks The Talk for much of the contest. Quickening up to take over entering the straight, the daughter of Jukebox Jury went right away to score by 10 lengths.

Patrick Mullins said: "Fantastic sire, it's a brilliant pedigree. John O'Connor (breeder) and his sisters, particularly Anne, do a wonderful job with it and we've had a lot of success with it. I've won on the dam, I've won on the sister and I've won on the aunt, and they have all been great.

"I think we will try and have a crack at black-type in a bumper, possibly Gowran or maybe Cheltenham in November.

"Then black-type over hurdles, I think she is up to that class."
