Light set for Sizing rematch Rubi Light could again clash with Sizing Europe next month after throwing away certain victory with a final-fence fall at Gowran Park on Saturday. Trainer Robbie Hennessy admitted to feeling "gutted" after seeing his pride and joy crash out of the PricewaterhouseCoopers Champion Chase. Rubi Light jumped superbly at the head of affairs in the hands of Davy Russell and pulled right away from Sizing Europe in the home straight, only to suffer a nasty tumble. The pair are now on a collision course for the JNwine.com Champion Chase at Down Royal on November 5th. "I've never been so gutted in all my life, but these things happen and, thankfully, there is not a bother on him," said Hennessy. "I was a bit worried he might be a bit stiff and sore but he's grand and that is the main thing. "He did everything right during the race. Davy gave him a breather after the fourth-last and then gave him a kick in the belly and he went away. "He was going to look very impressive but he just ran down the last and came down. Davy blames himself for being a bit too cautious. "Up to that point he'd jumped great and you would have him down as one of the best jumpers in the country. I don't think he's ever made a mistake before in his life. "We'll go to Down Royal next for the James Nicholson (JNwine.com Champion Chase) on November 5th. "After that it might be the Lexus Chase at Leopardstown over Christmas." Russell was replacing Andrew Lynch in the saddle, with the latter guiding Sizing Europe to a fortuitous victory. "In fairness, Andrew rang me last night to see how the horse was as he has done a lot of work with him and he said we had Sizing Europe off the bridle a long way out," Hennessy added.
