Light Up The Dark completed a cross-card four-timer for Joseph O'Brien and a double for Scott McCullagh and JP McManus, as she claimed the concluding Eventco Marquees Maiden.

Successful in two bumpers, the second of which was a Listed affair, the Camelot bay was seventh on recent starts at Ballinrobe and Tipperary respectively.

Well-supported into 13/8 favouritism, from 9/2 in early shows, the four-year-old raced mainly in third under McCullagh and travelled best to lead early in the straight.

Soon pushed along, she was kept up to her work in the closing stages and ultimately came home three-quarters of a length to the good.

On his first start for Karl Thornton, Boxing Great (11/1) ran on well to take second under Adam Caffrey, while First Ascent was another half-a-length back in third.

"Great, a good day. I came up on a nice book of rides, I had two non-runners and it is nice to get two winners and a second," McCullagh, who earlier partnered his first winner for O'Brien on Angelo Pio reflected.

"These double meetings are a great incentive for the likes of myself getting the opportunities to ride a few better type of horses.

"Big thanks to Joseph and all his team back at home.

"It was a true-run race - Stariam she always goes along at a good gallop. There was no hiding place, travelled comfortably, picked up and just did enough.

"She's very straightforward. A fine, big filly by Camelot and a lovely mover.

"Nice to ride a winner for Mr McManus (who won the first with In My Teens ."

O'Brien also registered two winners at Limerick, taking the feature with Uluru and the sixth with Denim And Diamonds

STEWARDS REPORTS

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Stariam, trained by Mrs John Harrington, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to have a small wound on its left fore having struck into itself but to be otherwise post race normal.

S. Foley, rider of Stariam, trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran too free.
