< Oiche Mhaith Boy landed the odds in the Irish Wire Maiden Hurdle at Limerick.

Supported down to 10-11 on the back of a second to subsequent Grade Three scorer Newberry New at Gowran Park, Kieran Purcell's juvenile met nothing of that calibre here and took the lead from Noble Vision approaching the last.

A slick leap saw him away from the obstacle in good fashion and his momentum carried him to a three-length victory.< Routes Choice took a major step forward when third at Clonmel last month and proved it was no fluke by going two better in the Frank Hogan Mercedes-Benz Limerick Mares Maiden Hurdle.

The 7-2 shot headed front-running favourite Midnight Theatre three out and although Danali was still just about within striking distance when fluffing the final flight, Routes Choice wasn't stopping and passed the post three and three-quarter lengths clear.< Notwhatiam made most of the running to spring a 25-1 surprise in the Woodlands House Hotel Adare (C & G) Maiden Hurdle.

Having his first outing for Richie Rath, the six-year-old was tracked by odds-on favourite Inch Rise but was travelling much stronger swinging for home and kept going to triumph by four and three-quarter lengths.

A blunder from Mick The Jiver two out in the McManus Bookmakers Handicap Hurdle handed Edvardo the initiative and the 13-8 favourite took full advantage to prevail by a length and a half.

Useful chaser Unic De Bersy was expected to capitalise on a comparatively lenient timber rating in the O'Kelly Brothers Demolition Novice Handicap Hurdle and all appeared to be going to plan until he came to grief with almost two of the three miles to travel.

That left Twiss's Hill (6-4) with a clear advantage over her two remaining rivals and while her mind had to be kept on the task at hand, she proved 10 lengths too good for Trade Marked supplementing Edvardo's success for Harry Kelly and Sean Flanagan.

A four-month absence proved no hindrance to Liclash (11-1), who registered his second course victory in the Signsplus Handicap Hurdle.
