Old rivals Barry Geraghty and Ruby Walsh were seen to their brilliant best at Limerick as Missunited (11-8) came out on top in a ding-dong battle with Twigline for the Grade Three Kerry Group E.B.F. Mares Novice Hurdle.

Walsh had tracked the Michael Winters-trained mare aboard Willie Mullins' inmate for the majority of the two-mile contest before a great leap at the second-last fight saw her momentarily get her head in front.

However, the battle-hardened Missunited displayed great determination under and a strong Geraghty drive to lead again where it mattered most and score by half a length.< Dazzling Susie couldn't keep up a relentless early gallop in the I.T.B.A Fillies Scheme E.B.F. Dawn Run Mares Novice Chase and it was Charlie's Vic (5-1) who also claimed Grade Three success on the day under a perfectly-timed Derek Fox ride.

Noel Kelly's charge travelled best of those ridden in behind the pace and when the leader came back to the field, Fox manoeuvred his mare into a winnable position approaching the final fence and she found enough to thwart Avondhu Lady by a neck.

Normal domestic service was resumed for Mullins and Walsh when Djakadam (1-6) landed the Limerick Races Congratulate World Hurdle Winner Solwhit Hurdle.

Geraghty tracked Walsh aboard Courage on this occasion, but he couldn't get near the red-hot favourite, who gave Charles Byrnes' inmate 7lb and a seven-length beating.

The Newton Abbot Racecourse Handicap Hurdle went the way of Unoccupied (6-1), who stayed on resolutely under an action-packed ride from Mark Enright.

Eoghan O'Grady's representative was recording his third career success and forced the well-supported Whiskey Hall to settle for the runner-up spot for the second year running as he ran out a comfortable 12-length winner.

The Charleville Cheese Beginners Chase went the way of He's Our Man (9-10) who broke his chase duck at the fourth time of asking when beating Dul Ar An Ol by a length and a half.
