Limerick ready for 2012 The first race meeting of 2012 gets underway at Limerick Racecourse on Wednesday 25th January 2012. With the first race off at 1:05pm, there is 7 National Hunt races to enjoy on the card. After an extremely busy Christmas Festival patrons can look forward to an action packed year of racing ahead at Limerick Racecourse. Dates for the diary include 18th and 19th March for St. Patrick’s weekend racing and the extremely popular Student Race day is on Thursday 29th March 2012 and the annual Munster in Red day pencilled in for 1st April. Russell Ferris, General Manager of Limerick Racecourse said “It seems like only yesterday we were in final planning for the Christmas festival and now we are in the midst of planning the Family Weekend in March, the Student Race day on the 29th and the Racing in Red meeting on the 1st April.
