Limit Handed Top-Level Assignment

Sky’s The Limit will step up in class to tackle Saturday’s Grade One Scottish And Newcastle Aintree Hurdle.

Edward O’Grady’s five-year-old was last seen when running out a hugely-impressive four-length winner of the Coral Cup at last month’s Cheltenham Festival.

He beat Strangely Brown without being at all extended under Barry Geraghty and O’Grady is now targeting the two-and-a-half-mile prize at the John Smith’s Grand National meeting.

“He’s been all right since Cheltenham and he is a runner on Saturday at the moment,” said the County Tipperary handler.

Sky’s The Limit will be having a first crack at this company and it will be a baptism of fire as dual Champion Hurdle winner Hardy Eustace is among the 16 entries.

Alan King has also put in the World Hurdle winner My Way De Solzen while Champion Hurdle also-rans Al Eile (fourth), Briareus (sixth), Kawagino (seventh), Royal Shakespeare (10th) and Intersky Falcon (11th) could all do battle again.
