Listed target for Dun Na Sead Kieran Cotter is eyeing a return in Listed company for exciting prospect Dun Na Sead. The daughter of Starspangledbanner made a big impression when making all for a cosy victory on her debut at the Curragh last September. Cotter has the Polonia Stakes at Cork on May 6th as a potential starting point for the three-year-old this term. She is owned by Kildare Racing Club who also have Lord Dudley and Sonnyboyliston. “We’ve had one or two setbacks but she could reappear in a Listed fillies race in Cork at the start of May. She’s a half-sister to Lord Dudley but is way quicker,” said Cotter.   “Declan (McDonogh) think’s she is definitely black type and he said she is the fastest out of a gate he’s ever been on.   “The form of her maiden hasn’t worked out that well but the time was very fast and was only a fraction slower than the Joe McGrath Premier Handicap on the same day.   “She bruised a foot and has been out for the last few weeks but hopefully we’ll get a clean run with her now. She has physically matured.” (AM & GC)
