Last year the Saturday of the Listowel Festival was cancelled and refixed for the following Friday and as a result figures were way up.

The bookmakers took in €469,140 for six races this year compared to €210,626 for eight races last year.

The Tote Aggregate was €139,864.07 while it was just €56,788.00 last year.

The attendance for the final day of the 2012 Festival was a very respectable 6,530.
