Little Ginger another winner for 'hot' conditional O'Sullivan Prominent throughout a steadily-run Irish Stallion Farms EBF Maiden Hurdle at Downpatrick, Little Ginger landed odds of 4/7 (from 4/5 on the show) in the hands of Alan O'Sullivan. The Kilbeggan bumper winner, trained for Frank Reynolds by James Fahey, had been second over a shorter trip here on his previous start over hurdles, and appreciated this greater test of stamina over two and three-quarter miles to beat Fuusland by a length and a quarter "It wasn't the strongest of contests and he had that bit of form," said O'Sullivan, the season's leading conditional. "He had to do it the hard way, which we weren't planning on going out, but he did it well. "Even a sharp two-six around here, he probably wants more of a test. "James was just keen to get a lead, it has just taken him a small bit of time to get his jumping together and he was very good there today. My fella is such a good ride that when we did jump off, I was able to take him right back. "After what happened at the first, I was confident we would be able to mind our own business and he did it well. "He's a nice horse and he's better than that, I would suggest as well. "That's my first winner here and nice to tick it off." Additional reporting by Michael Graham
