Llewellyn To Take Over From Pitman Jockey Carl Llewellyn will take over as trainer from Mark Pitman at Weathercock House Stables in Lambourn after the Grand National meeting next month.Llewellyn will continue to ride but on a reduced scale. The pair have worked together this season which has had its fair share of successes.Although Pitman will no longer be the trainer, he will not sever links entirely with the yard.'Carl and I will more or less be reversing our current roles,' Pitman told the Racing Post.'As I explained when he joined our team last summer, I have family commitments in Spain which means I can't always be on call at Weathercock House.'I've subsequently split my time between Spain and Lambourn, and that will continue to be my plan. I'm delighted I'll still have an involvement.'Llewellyn, who rode his first winner 20 years ago said:'I've thoroughly enjoyed the fresh challenge of training, and that now will be my number one priority over riding.'(C) PA Sport
