Load returns in Le Grande

Loosen My Load makes his seasonal reappearance in the Le Grande Chase over two and a half miles at Navan.

Trainer Henry de Bromhead is happy with the seven-year-old ahead of his first start since May.

He told At The Races: "We'll feel our way with him, he seems in good form for his first run back. He's definitely better on better ground.

"Looking back on last year you could possibly say his best run on form was when he was third just a neck behind Captain Chris giving him 6lb in the two-mile novice at Cheltenham in November (won by Ghizao) on pretty soft ground.

"I don't think either of them were too keen on that (ground), but if you are taking literal form you could say that it was his best run after what Captain Chris did afterwards.

"He ran well in the Jewson back there at the Festival. Coming down the hill he was going better than anything and yet he only finished third and Noble Prince sprinted away from him in the end.

"He definitely gets two and a half miles - he was second in the Powers Gold Cup, but whether it is his optimum I'm not sure."
