Long Legs leads home O'Brien trio

Daddy Long Legs (11-4) won the Juddmonte Royal Lodge Stakes as Aidan O'Brien trained the first three home in the Group Two at Newmarket.

Sent to the front by Colm O'Donoghue as soon as the gates opened, the Scat Daddy colt got into a nice rhythm and was not for catching.

Stablemate Wrote looked the most likely danger at the furlong pole but he was passed by another Ballydoyle colt in Tenth Star (6-1) who got up for second under William Buick.

Frankel won the race last year when it was run at Ascot and Sky Bet quote the winner at 25-1 to follow in his hoofprints and win next year's 2,000 Guineas.

O'Donoghue said: "He's very straightforward. He jumped great and travelled really good.

"He's a big horse with a great action and a great temperament.

"He's a nice horse and is improving."

O'Brien said: "They're three young colts and they all ran nice races. "This horse (Daddy Long Legs) was very green in Doncaster but he liked the fast ground and we're delighted.

"We were just discussing things and everything is open. You would have to look at the Racing Post Trophy and Derrick (Smith, co-owner) said the Breeders' Cup could be a possible, although nothing has been decided yet.

"The other two would be possibles for all those races."
