Lordan excited by Heel Jockey Wayne Lordan is looking forward to riding Come To Heel next year after the filly handled a steep rise in grade to finish fourth in the Cheveley Park Stakes. The David Wachman-trained juvenile ran in the Group One after only two previous races and was beaten just over two lengths by the French filly Vorda, one of the leading candidates for next year's 1000 Guineas. "She ran a lovely race," Lordan told At The Races. "She won her maiden quite easy and then won a Listed race on the Curragh but she didn't learn a whole pile. "It was a big step up to Group One class and she just got a bit unbalanced in the dip, but when I met the rising ground she ran to the line well which was a positive. She's a nice filly and she didn't disgrace herself. "As far as I know that might be it for the year but she's one to look forward to next year. She was only beaten two lengths on her third start and she should be a nice filly next season." Lordan was also pleased with the performance of her stablemate Duntle, who bounced back to form to finish third behind Sky Lantern in the Sun Chariot Stakes. "She ran a great race. We felt she was a little disappointing in America, it felt like she didn't stay, but she felt like she was back to herself on Saturday," said Lordan. "Hopefully there's another big day in her, she seems in good order and we're pleased with the way she's running."
