Loughnane has Ascot target for Go Bears Go Go Bears Go is set to make his seasonal reappearance on Royal Ascot trials day at the Berkshire track later this month. The David Loughnane-trained colt enjoyed a fine juvenile campaign, the highlight being victory in the Group Two Railway Stakes at the Curragh. He was also third in the Group One Phoenix Stakes at the Kildare venue and went close to a famous Breeders’ Cup success when beaten just half a length in the Juvenile Turf Sprint at Del Mar by Wesley Ward’s Twilight Gleaming. The son of Kodi Bear is no stranger to Ascot, having won his debut there before finding only Perfect Power too good in the Norfolk Stakes. He is being aimed at the Merriebelle Stables Commonwealth Cup Trial Stakes, better known as the Pavilion Stakes. Loughnane confirmed: “I’m very pleased with him. “He has done very well from two to three and it’s all systems go for the Pavilion Stakes at Ascot on April 27.”
