Michael Kenneally doubled up in Fairyhouse when Themanintheanorak proved three lengths too good for the opposition in the Bobbyjo Day February 21st Handicap Hurdle.

His mount came through to lead narrowly two out, however, he was untidy in jumping there. Folly Master was boxing away on his inner and certainly wasn't beaten before the last.

Themanintheanorak cleared it and began to increase the gap in the closing stages. Folly Master (2/1f) was unable to threaten the leader who was returned at 7/2. Cathryns Ruby was half a length off the runner-up at 14/1.

Eugene O'Sullivan said: "He’s a lovely horse, we like him a lot.

“We thought we were unlucky here the last day that we were beaten by one of Charles’ (Byrnes, On Your Way). He got a cut the last day and that’s why he was missing over Christmas.

“We’ll try and find something else now.

“JJ (Slevin) rode him one day and said he’s crying out for fences in the summer, on good ground.

“The only doubt I had today was the ground.”

Themanintheanorak finished second in his last couple of races over flights at Clonmel and over a similar trip at this track.

Kenneally won the preceding race on Don Jefe (16/1).
