Lucky William set for Sunday Lucky William will attempt to enhance his reputation over fences in the ladbrokes.com Bet In Running Craddockstown Novice Chase at Punchestown on Sunday. The Grade Two event has been an informative race in recent seasons, with the likes of Moscow Flyer, Limestone Lad, Sizing Europe and Realt Dubh all taking this before going on to better things. Lucky William failed to win against some decent rivals over fences last term, but has struck twice already this season, most recently in Grade Three company at Punchestown. "He runs on Sunday in the Craddockstown Novice Chase," confirmed trainer Tom Cooper. "I thought he'd make a really nice novice last season but he just lost his confidence a bit after a couple of falls, but he's really got it together again this year. "He's a very strong-travelling horse, he does a lot on the bridle. "I've put him in the Drinmore (Fairyhouse) and I think he'll be at his best between two, and two and a half miles." Lucky William is one of eight Craddockstown entries, which include the Henry de Bromhead-trained Days Hotel, a 10-length winner on his chasing debut. Whodoyouthink, second to Lucky William last time out, Noel Meade's Monastrell and Foildubh are also among the possibles.
