LUZCADOU THYESTES POSER

Connections will decide tomorrow whether to let Luzcadou take his chance in the Cuisine de France Thyestes Handicap Chase at Gowran Park on Thursday.

The gelding, trained by Micky Hammond, is the sole British-based entry for the IR#42,250 three-mile contest.

However the eight-year-old, a winner over hurdles at Newcastle just before Christmas, also has entries for the Bagpipes Handicap Chase at Ayr on Saturday, a race he won last year, and the Tartan Handicap Hurdle on the same card.

Hammond said today: 'He`s also in the two-and-a-half mile handicap chase and handicap hurdle at Ayr and we`ll probably make a decision tomorrow.

'I`ll have a look at the Ayr races, get an update on the ground and talk it over with his owner Mr Chappell.

'He`s in good form and it wouldn`t matter if the ground is heavy.'

Luzcadou is one of only six horses in the handicap proper for the Thyestes Chase, the weights for which are headed by last year`s winner Micko`s Dream.
