Lynam looking forward to Viz run Trainer Eddie Lynam is looking forward to seeing talented filly Viztoria finally encounter her preferred conditions in an intriguing OLBG Park Stakes at Doncaster on Saturday. The three-year-old created a big impression when winning her first two starts as a juvenile last season and Lynam went into the winter with Classic dreams very much alive. She made a winning return to action in the Athasi Stakes at the Curragh in early May, but a dry summer has meant she has only made one subsequent appearance, finishing a respectable sixth in the Coronation Stakes at Royal Ascot. With the Doncaster turf already on the easy side and more rain forecast for Friday night, Viztoria should be in her element on Town Moor this weekend. Lynam said: "She's in good form and it looks as though the ground will be on the slow side of good. "She hasn't run since Ascot and she's ready to start back and I'm very happy with her going into the race. "She is the only filly in the race and the only three-year-old. "It's been a lucky race for us (won with Duff in 2009), so we'll give it a go." Viztoria gets weight and sex allowances from each of her 10 opponents, with Roger Varian's Aljamaaheer the highest-rated horse in the line-up. Placed in the Lockinge at Newbury and the Queen Anne Stakes at Royal Ascot, the four-year-old won the Summer Mile before running a little disappointingly in the Prix Jacques le Marois at Deauville. Speaking on his website www.varianstable.com, the trainer said: "Aljamaaheer looks great and has been in terrific form at home. "I would love to run him at Doncaster. I think the flat, sharp seven furlongs would be right up his street. On paper he looks to have a very good chance. My only concern would be if the ground deteriorates any more. " Saeed bin Suroor's Lockwood is on a hat-trick following wins at Thirsk and Goodwood. The trainer told www.godolphin.com: "Lockwood won nicely at Goodwood and he came out of that race in good order. "He has been working well and this is a nice trip for him, although he is taking a step up in class and it will a tough contest." Hughie Morrison's Pastoral Player was beaten just half a length a year ago. The trainer said: "He'll have another crack. It looks a hotter race this year but he'll run all right, I think. "He's a great horse to have and has given us all a lot of entertainment." Arnold Lane, Caspar Netscher, Gregorian and Sirius Prospect all feature in the field.
