Lynam strikes at Doncaster with Duff Duff (7-1) produced a gutsy performance to hang on for victory in the DFS Park Stakes. Runner-up in this contest in 2007, the Edward Lynam-trained gelding went alone down the stands rail and had a slight lead running into the final furlong. Arabian Gleam, who was chasing a hat-trick of victories in the Park Stakes, and Cat Junior came with strong efforts. But Fran Berry kept his mount to his work and just held on to record a neck victory over the latter. Berry said: "He likes to be made use of and likes fast ground. "He picked up very well for me and did it nicely. "Having the rail for a long time was the big thing - it helped him." Racing manager to the owners, Sean Dunne, said: "It was a great ride from Fran because he likes being in front on his own. "We had really hard luck in this race two years ago when Arabian Gleam beat us a neck, but we got our revenge today. "He was definitely headed but he's a real battler. "This is the one we wanted."
