Ger Lyons could have two runners at Royal Ascot with The Reaper heading to the Wokingham and Piri Wango a possible Britannia contender.

The Co Meath trainer struck with 20-1 shot Elletelle in the 2007 Queen Mary Stakes, with Johnny Murtagh steering the youngster to a half-length success over Starlit Sands.

This year, Lyons is hoping for quick ground for The Reaper, who would be an interesting contender for the Wokingham Stakes if he gets his favoured conditions.

"The Reaper could go for the Wokingham, but it's ground dependant," said Lyons.

"He ran a good race in the Greenlands Stakes at the Curragh the other day and it was one of those races you could run five times and get a different winner every time. He's come out of it well and he could go to Ascot if the ground is right."

Promising three-year-old Piri Wango has only been beaten once in three career starts and could take his chance in the Britannia Handicap.

Lyons said: "Piri Wango could go for the Britannia. He won his first two and then ran well (fourth) behind Ishvana and Slade Power at Dundalk last time, which looks good form."
