Ma Jacks Hill opens his chasing account Ma Jacks Hill added to previous wins in a point-to-point and maiden hurdle when causing something of an upset in the Bermingham Cameras Novice Chase at Punchestown. Trained by Gordon Elliott for Gigginstown House Stud, the 11/1 chance was left in front after the pacesetting odds-on favourite Supersundae made a bad mistake two out. Ma Jacks Hill was driven out by Kevin Sexton to beat Jolie Jewel by a diminishing three-quarters of a length with Supersundae not finding any extra a further length and three-quarters away in third. Sexton said, “He has a bit of a mind of his own, but he was very straightforward today. “He jumped like a buck. He missed one down the back, but it was my own fault as I overfaced him. He jumped so well, I got carried away but he put me back in my place fairly quick! Other than that, he was foot perfect. “I was happy most of the way. I thought turning in that Anna had got away from me for a second but obviously she made the mistake and I landed there." Sexton was partnering his fourth winner in just over 48 hours having also ridden a winner for Elliott at Clonmel on Friday and a double for the Cullentra House trainer here yesterday.
