Maggio on the road again Maggio will be back on his travels after a small break for the Griffin team. Trainer Patrick and his assistant son James campaign him almost exclusively in England, although he did run well on his last outing when third to Home Farm at Thurles. A return trip to Kelso for the Premier Chase he won last year is his main aim, but he will visit Haydock before then, too. "James has picked out a race at Haydock for him in early January but I think he'll run before then somewhere," said Griffin "I'm almost certain we'll try and get another run into him this side of Christmas. "In the new year he will qualify for the veteran chases and that could be an avenue we'll look at. "We prefer to run him in England, it's small fields and less competitive and a certain Mr Mullins isn't there all the time! "We'd hope for a repeat win in the race he won at Kelso last season (Premier Chase)."
