Magical Fire suffers career-ending injury Michael O'Callaghan has revealed Magical Fire's racing days are over as she sustained a career-ending injury in the Lowther Stakes at York on Thursday. The daughter of Dragon Prince ran below par when coming home last of the eight runners in the Group Two won in impressive fashion by Queen Kindly. Magical Fire had shown she was up to that level having finished second to Lowther runner-up Roly Poly in the Duchess of Cambridge Stakes at Newmarket's July meeting. O'Callaghan tweeted: "Unfortunately Magical Fire suffered a career-ending injury at York. Very disappointing for all involved."
