MANN MAPS OUT SUPPORT PLAN

Moral Support, runner-up when heavily backed for the Coral Welsh National, last month is set to return to action in the Tote Northern National at Newcastle on February 17th.

And Charlie Mann also has another big prize in his sights for the nine-year-old who has won four times since being bought for only 8,200 guineas at Doncaster May Sales last year.

The Lambourn trainer explained: 'I was thinking of running him in the Singer & Friedlander at Uttoxeter on February 3, but he missed a bit of work because of the bad weather so it just might come a bit quick for him.

'So I think he will go to Newcastle and the one we really want to go for is the De Vere Gold Cup at Haydock, it is the following week, but it is a #100,000 race and he has won twice in the space of a week before.'

Stablemate Somemanforoneman has the Royal & SunAlliance Chase as his Cheltenham Festival target, while the ultra-consistent Celibate has a Queen Mother Champion Chase entry.

He went on: 'Somemanforoneman will run first in the Thanx Group Novices` Chase at Wetherby on February 3 and Celibate will go for the Mitsubishi Shogun Ascot Chase two weeks later.'
