Liz Doyle made it three winners from her last five runners as Manu Reva got up on the line to make a successful debut in the Matchbook 50,000 Graduation Series INH Flat Race at Punchestown.

The 28/1 shot was only fifth a furlong from home and the penny really only dropped in the closing stages as he responded to Barry Stone's urgings to get up on the line.

Sharbel was denied by a shorthead with Hill Silver just a head further back in third in a tremendous finish.

The placings remained unaltered following an enquiry into possible interference between the second and third.

Doyle said, “I thought he'd win. He was the pick of the paddock. He had gone very well with the horse that won the bumper in Tramore last week (Long Goodbye) and I knew we weren't a million miles away.

“He wanted a nice race to go a good gallop but they went slow. He was very green, very raw. He'll improve stones for today, he really will.

“I wanted to come here for a nice track and nice race to get a good run into him. He has a huge engine and is a lovely horse going forward. He's very, very nice. He's for sale, so he'll probably be sold now. He's got a huge future ahead of him.”
