Another race for mares seems the most likely outcome as Cheltenham and the BHA deliberate over what race to add to the Festival in 2016.

The charity race will not take place on Thursday's card next year, and a number of options for mares appears the most likely replacement to make a 28-race Festival.

Paddy Power are offering prices on what type of race will be added, and three of the first five options in their betting list are for mares.

"We're pretty sure that Cheltenham will give members of the fairer sex another opportunity with three of the top five in the betting mares' events and this could stop high-calibre horses like Morning Run, Vroum Vroum Mag and Gitane Du Berlais bypassing the festival for other options as they did this season," said Paddy Power.

Power bet: 6-4 Mares Novice Hurdle, Mares Chase, 4-1 2m4f Conditions Hurdle, 7 Veterans Race, 16 Mares Bumper, 20 3m 4f plus Handicap Chase, 25 Ladies Race, 66 Cross Country Chase.

Power's have also cut the price on Willie Mullins saddling the winner of all four championship races at next year's Festival from 16-1 to 14-1.
