Breeder and former trainer Marguerite Weld has died aged 98.

'Gita' was the mother of Dermot Weld and wife of the late Curragh trainer Charlie Weld.

Her colours were carried to classic success in 2006 when home-bred Nightime landed the Irish 1,000 Guineas.
