Racing at Market Rasen this afternoon goes ahead as scheduled after fears of snow overnight failed to materialise.

Officials at the Lincolnshire venue had called a precautionary inspection for 7am with a forecast for rain turning colder and possibly into snow.

However, those concerns were allayed and the inspection was cancelled, with the going described soft, good to soft in places.

First race on a seven-race card is due off at 2.20.
