Master Minded out of Tingle Creek

Master Minded was last night ruled out of the Tingle Creek Chase at Sandown on Saturday week as connections are not happy with the dual Champion Chase winner.

The Paul Nicholls trained gelding hung right when only third to Well Chief on his reappearance in the Connaught Chase at Cheltenham earlier this month, and the problem has persisted in recent home workouts.

The French bred will have a bone scan on Thursday to try to shed light on why he is hanging badly right-handed and, whatever the outcome, will not be ready in time for the Tingle Creek.

Master Minded was a general 7/4 favourite to complete a hat-trick in the Champion Chase at Cheltenham next March.
