McBride searches for Guineas jockey Charlie McBride is facing a race against time to secure a top jockey for Audacity Of Hope in the StanJames.com 2000 Guineas. The Newmarket handler had hoped to have six-times champion Kieren Fallon in the saddle but he has been snapped up by his former employers Coolmore for Viscount Nelson. While McBride is no nearer to knowing who will be on board, he thinks the race will be run to suit the Red Ransom colt. "We've fully decided that he's going to go in the Guineas but we thought we had Kieren, then we didn't, then we did so we don't know what's going on at the moment," said McBride. "I don't know who's riding him but there's plenty of jockeys available. "He's entitled to take his chance, he's a nice horse and he should be suited by the pace of the race. "He's really only shown his true level of ability once or twice I think, he never gets races run to suit. "I think his best performance was at Doncaster, I know that was only a handicap, but there was bags of pace on good to firm ground. Kieren held him up and he showed a terrific turn of foot to win in a fast time but he's never had those conditions again. "I'm hoping there will be a fairly big field with plenty of pace on and he'll run a big race. "There are doubts over whether he will get a yard over a mile as he's quite a sharp horse at home so we'll stick to a mile at the moment. "I just haven't got a clue who'll be riding him yet. I'd prefer a top jockey for a Classic just as they have that bit more experience."
