Anthony McCann is hopeful Shesakindofmagic can bounce back following a disappointing run in the Grade 2 Coolmore NH Sires Luxembourg Irish EBF Mares INH Flat Race at the Dublin Racing Festival earlier this month, with the trainer aiming for an Easter return.

Shesakindofmagic’s winning Limerick form on St Stephen’s Day has worked out very well with the runner-up, Forceonmyown, and the fourth, Ufouria, both winning since.

McCann, who had his first chase winner at Clonmel yesterday, said "She seemed good that week going into the race (at Leopardstown). We thought she might have been in season a week before, but she seemed to be 100 per cent.

"When Aine (O'Connor) got on her, and was heading to the start, she just didn't think she was the same filly going to the start as she was that day in Limerick. She knew after a furlong she wasn't the same filly, but she did try her hardest the filly because she is so genuine.

"We got her home and got her assessed and her bloods came back all wrong. She had an infection, so she was on a course of antibiotics for a week and just out to the paddocks. She is actually away and has gone home for a month for a bit of TLC.

"We are hoping to maybe get her back for Fairyhouse for the festival at Easter - the Listed race that Familiar Dreams won last year.

"She is the type of filly you can ride any way - you can ride her at the front, behind, middle or anywhere.

"We are looking forward to getting her back, she is only gone a week and you nearly miss her because she is a sweetheart in the yard."
