Riders Jody Townend and Maxine O'Sullivan had a great tussle up the run-in on the 9/2 joint-favourites in Listowel's MCG Ladies Handicap Hurdle with the former just coming out on top aboard Ollie La Ba Ba

Townend's mount and the O'Sullivan-ridden Half A Chance went on from longtime leader Redcliff Glen after the second-last and it was Half A Chance who led narrowly at the last but Ollie La Ba Ba found a bit more in the closing stages to score by a neck.

It has been a memorable week for Athea Co Limerick trainer Eoin McCarthy with this being his fourth winner of the Harvest Festival. For winning owner Sean Maguire it was a second win in 24 hours as his Fast Felix was part of a double for McCarthy yesterday.

McCarthy commented: "Jody is a huge asset and while I secured her early last week, I had a different horse Thinking Man in mind for her. I thought Thinking Man was really solid but when he got balloted out, I switched her to Ollie La Ba Ba.

"Thinking Man ended up getting in a reserve and while he ran well to a point, his run petered out.

"Jody gave the winner a peach and got him up where it mattered. We are just having one of those weeks and everything is bouncing our way."
