For the first time in six years, Irish racing fans can take part in the Tote Ten To Follow competition. There is a minimum of €150,000 to play for and the aim is simple, just pick ten horses that you think will win races in the season ahead and full information ca be found on tote.ie.

The ten to follow competition is open for entries until Saturday morning and a horse who is going places is Streets Of Doyen trained in Co.Meath by John McConnell.

Streets of Doyen is undefeated in his last four starts and his trainer outlined the potential targets for him in the season ahead.

”Possibly the Albert Bartlett in Cheltenham. He's full of stamina and that's a real stamina orientated race," reasoned McConnell looking ahead with his progressive six-year-old.

He added: "It's definitely one Richard Johnson (won on Streets Of Doyen last time) thought we should consider.

"He's out in the field. He's on the walker during the day, and out in the field, and in at night then. I'll probably give him about a month of that and then we'll start slowly bringing him back. He doesn't take much training.

"He likes nice ground. If it came up very soft at Cheltenham he could go to Aintree for the novice hurdle there. I think Thistlecrack won it one year. Or he could go to the Irish festivals in Fairyhouse or Punchestown"
