McConnell winner at Hamilton Trainer John McConnell enjoyed a winner with Lindenhurst and a second in Minot Street from his two-horse raid at Hamilton on Monday. Lindenhurst took the Racing UK On Sky Channel 432 Handicap in cosy style, with Joe Fanning bringing the well supported 13-8 favourite to lead inside the final furlong and score by two lengths from Aneedh, who collared the long-time leader King Of Paradise for second spot. Minot Street just found the gambled-on favourite Taxiformissbyron a neck too good in the Download The Free Racing UK App Handicap. County Meath-based McConnell said: "It's great that Lindenhurst won and I thought the second was bit unlucky. Minot Street had to go the long way and the winner went the short way. That made the difference to winning and losing. "Lindenhurst is quite straightforward. He just needs to have his mind made up. You couldn't get better than Joe (Fanning) the way he is riding at the minute." Both horses hold engagements at Musselburgh today and McConnell will wait until the morning before deciding on their participation. He said: "I'd say Minot Street is more likely to run again on Tuesday, but I don't know about Lindenhurst. I'll make a decision on both in the morning. It's a nice predicament to have."
