McCoy Loses Appeal Tony McCoy yesterday lost his appeal against the decision of the Worcester stewards to ban him for one day for careless riding. The champion jump jockey will have to sit out this Sunday after the Jockey Club disciplinary panel found against him over his riding of the unplaced Case Equal in the Vaillant Boilers Novices´ Handicap Hurdle on July 6.The panel heard evidence from McCoy, who was legally represented, and also viewed video recordings of the race. They found that Case Equal had interfered with Noble House, ridden by Mick Fitzgerald who was also unplaced, and that it was caused by McCoy´s careless riding.McCoy also lost his £500 deposit.(C) PA Sport
