Tony McCoy recorded his fastest ever half-century of seasonal winners with victory aboard Bob Keown at Worcester on Tuesday evening.

The perennial champion had earlier secured his 49th success of the campaign with a fine ride aboard the Jonjo O'Neill-trained Mission Complete (7-1) in the 32Red Free 10 Bonus Handicap Chase.

McCoy hit his first landmark of the new season as he drove home the Rebecca Curtis-trained Bob Keown (7-4 favourite) in the 32Red Free 10 Bonus Handicap Hurdle, collaring Tornado Bob to score by three-quarters of a length.

McCoy's long-held ambition is to become the first man to ride 300 winners in a season.

The 19-times champion's best remains the 289 he rode in 2001-2.
