Evanna McCutcheon will wait to see what the ground is like at both Haydock and the Curragh before committing to a race with Maarek.

The eight-year-old is entered in both the betfred.com Temple Stakes and the Weatherbys Ireland Greenlands Stakes at the respective tracks, but having shown his best form with some ease in the ground, his trainer is keen to seek out his optimum conditions.

A 12-times winner, Maarek showed his ability was still all there when flashing home to finish fourth behind the rapid Mecca's Angel in France last time out.

McCutcheon said: "It will come down to the ground where he goes. We're still very much 50-50 at the moment.

"He'd need more moisture over five (furlongs, but if he ran) at the Curragh he wouldn't want it very soft over six.

"We'll have to decide by Thursday morning anyway as that is when he'd need to leave to get to Haydock.

"He doesn't need a bog but he'd just prefer more ease over five.

"I'd imagine if we go over to England Sole Power won't be there and if we stay at home vice versa. I've had Richard Hughes' agent on so we won't be stuck for a jockey."
