Ado McGuinness is eyeing a return to the Curragh with Dark Ace after his placed effort in the Rockingham Handicap.

The Soldier’s Call gelding was a staying-on third to Genesis in the €100,000 event and connections will try again to land a big money sprint handicap.

The Scurry Handicap on Irish Oaks weekend is the next port of call while the Stewards’ Cup at Goodwood next month is also on the agenda for the four-year-old.

"He was a bit unlucky,” said McGuinness of his recent Curragh run on Derby Day.

"We are going back for the Scurry in two weeks, and he's entered in the Stewards' Cup - he will definitely go to the Stewards' Cup.

"We have the all-weather after that."
