McGuinness eyes a Guineas Trial with Star Strewn Star Strewn (15/8jf) ran out the impressive winner of Dundalk’s Irishinjuredjockeys.com Fillies Maiden today, scoring on her third career start and on her first run for trainer Ado McGuinness. Jointly-owned by Adam Potts and Brian Sheerin, the daughter of Starman had finished fourth and then third in two November runs and today raced with the pace before quickening smartly to score by 2.5 lengths from Glitter And Glory . Regarding last May’s €50,000 breeze-up purchase, trainer McGuinness reported “she's a very good filly and I really like her. She had solid form, but was probably a little bit immature when she ran here before Christmas. "I think she could go forward and you wouldn't know where you would end up. I think she is definitely a black type filly and even more.” He added “we probably won't come back here again, we'll just put her away and go to the turf. We might run her in a Guineas Trial in Leopardstown and see how we get on after that. I think she is mature enough to go straight to Leopardstown." Quotes from Michael Graham
