Ado McGuinness believes Mzuri is his best chance of a winner at the start of Bellewstown’s July Festival on Wednesday.

The Co Dublin trainer often targets Bellewstown and has six horses in action on day one of four.

Mzuri and Beau Satchel contest the Gabriel Howard Memorial Handicap and the former catches the eye after a promising fourth place in Naas last month on her first run since October.

She gets in off a light weight of 8st 8lb and has the plum draw in stall one for this extended seven-furlong contest.

McGuinness said of Shane Foley’s mount: “She had been off for a long time before Naas due to ulcers.

“She has been working very well and the draw will be a huge factor.

“Her owner, Mr Gallagher, lives nearby (to Bellewstown).”

The trainer is looking forward to All’s Quiet lining up for the Drogheda Traders Plate (Q.R.) Handicap after finishing third in a Downpatrick handicap hurdle last month.

“I’m expecting a big run as two-miles-one on the Flat should suit him well,” the trainer added.

“He won over an extended mile and five in Ballinrobe (last July).”
