McGuinness sets sights with Dark Ace Trainer Ado McGuinness has decided on the Bold Lad Handicap at the Curragh on Irish Champions Weekend rather than a trip to Ayr with sprinter Dark Ace. The four-year-old son of Soldier's Call has notched up some impressive successes in both Ireland and the UK, but McGuinness feels his next likely target will be the Curragh. McGuinness said: “He'll go to the Bold Lad (Curragh). We probably favour that over the Ayr Gold Cup. “He'll work next week and we are building him back up again for it, and we'll see where we go from there. “He always has Dundalk. He is higher on the all-weather, so we will probably try and exploit the grass for the next couple of weeks. “I'm lucky to have him, he's a smashing horse, and I need horses like that.” (Quotes from Michael Graham)
