Mckelvey On Course Peter Bowen has confirmed leading ante-post fancy Mckelvey on course for the Coral Welsh National at Chepstow next week. The Haverfordwest-based handler´s six-year-old is as low as 10-1 for the gruelling marathon contest after an eyecatching 11-length defeat of Jungle Jinks at Wetherby last month. 'Mckelvey is in good form and goes to Chepstow the day after Boxing Day for the Welsh National, providing he stays in one piece,' Bowen told Racing UK. Reflecting on his Wetherby success, Bowen continued: 'It was a nice run but I think he was unlucky to unseat Tom Doyle the last time and hopefully he will run well at Chepstow.' ? PA Sport
