Meain second in French listed contest Inis Meain was second in Listed company in France this afternoon. Denis Hogan’s charge made most of the running under Stephane Pasquier in the Listed Prix Denisy at Saint-Cloud but had to settle for the runner-up spot in the closing stages. Pasquier attempted to slip the field turning for home in the extended mile-and-seven-furlong event.
 Olivier Peslier and the John Gosden-trained Nichols Canyon, a winner at the same grade at Ascot last month, was the only one to go with him and was well on top with a furlong remaining, coming home four lengths clear.
