Paul Midgley has two solid chances in the Midsummer Sprint Stakes at Cork tomorrow with both Line Of Reason and Monsieur Joe lining up.

Line Of Reason already has a win in Ireland to his name but that came off a 19lb lower mark. He will be ridden by Paul Mulrennan.

Monsieur Joe arrives in great form, having won a big sprint at York and been second to stablemate Desert Law in the 'Dash' at Epsom last week.

Joseph O'Brien rides him, as he has done twice in the past.

"As Joseph has ridden him before and knows him well, we thought we'd be mad not to use him given Aidan (O'Brien) didn't have anything in it," said Midgley.

"The horse is in excellent form. I maybe couldn't say he is in the form of his life as he has won in Dubai in the past so he must have been in some form then.

"But he's certainly in the best form since we've had him.

"He's done nothing wrong all year and must have a very good chance.

"As he's running off 107 now our hand is forced into running him in these races.

"Line Of Reason is nearly 20lb higher than when he won in Ireland the other year.

"He was just a bit fresh in the Duke of York and then he missed the start last time out and did very well to get as close as he did.

"I'd say we've got Rae Guest's Mirza (winner of the race three years ago) to beat, he ran well in France last time."

Abstraction, Russian Soul, Ardhoomey and Dikta Del Mar complete the field.
