Might Be is The One for Andy Mc The first division of Downpatrick’s MB McGrady And Co Chartered Accountants Handicap Hurdle, over two and a quarter miles, resulted in a first victory for Might Be The One. The morning favourite, runner-up three times last season and returning from an absence of nearly five months, drifted out to a starting price of 6/1. Having raced amongst those tracking the front-running John Dixen, the Poet’s Word mare jumped to the front at the last under Conor Stone-Walsh and went away to beat that pace-setter by eight lengths. "She's not winning out of turn - we thought she won in Limerick at Christmas last year and it turned out in the photo-finish that we were beaten," said winning trainer Andrew McNamara. "She had been good and consistent last year. She went straight from point-to-pointing to racing, so perhaps the break has done her well. She was placed four times last season, she was running well, but maybe she has come back a little bit better. "She's a lovely, sweet filly, so delighted for the owners (O'Rourke Construction Ltd) that she has got her head in front. "We might go chasing straight away with her. "She was (professional when she took it up) - she can be a little bit keen at home, so Conor got a little bit of cover and dropped down the inner and she settled very nicely for him. She jumped brilliantly for him, and we said that she is not short of a bit of toe, so I said to leave it until the back of the last. He timed it exactly for that.
